having used claude extensively for the past couple of months, i think there is still a lot of value to understanding your code and steering it intentionally. the amount of incidental complexity claude accumulates otherwise (which mostly results in bugs that it can't ever fix reliably) is staggering.
Every simple utility mobile app needs a no-cost, no-tracking, no-ads version like right away. Timers, metronomes, piano, card games, grocery list, doodling, etc. Let's go.

Spent $30 to get a new battery for my 2018 thinkpad. Installing it took 5 seconds and no tools and was hot swap, because thinkpad. Turns out it was a doubly good idea because upon removal I noticed the old one had begun the spicy pillow phase.
Getting good results with claude code in terminal with worktrees and for work that I'm directly driving zed with copilot is the only ide experience with valuable suggestions.

The second edition of Designing Data-Intensive Applications, by myself and @chris.blue, is finished and sent off to the printers! Ebooks should be available in the next week, and print books in 3–4 weeks. Sigh of relief. 😅
