Yeah, tech level is fairly stable at this point. Cryopods are actually somewhat canon (from NEO Scavenger), but I'm not sure we'll add any here. Travel times are a matter of weeks at most, which is more akin to ocean cruises than interstellar travel.
And I agree a shower would be nice!

There's a good chance we'll keep this mode in the long run as an option on the main menu. If nothing else, it's great for folks to practice flying and/or fighting with low risk to their saves.
Like the combat simulator in Wing Commander :P

Big things for Ostranauts this year! Plus they just added a new Arena Mode with wave-based ship to ship combat!
If I hit ctrl+! it should make a crater in my monitor where the carat was.
An incident report printed in the style of a dot-matrix printer, showing how many waves the player survived. The left side shows a topdown view of the whole ship when it started, and below that, how it looked when it ended. The lower image has entire chunks missing from the hindquarters of the ship, and the front is all chewed up rubble. A fire rages with billowing smoke just ourside the NAV room. On the right, the reported final wave was 9, with a total score of 71,842 points. There are buttons to RETIRE, EDIT, or CANCEL at the bottom.
If anyone can get past Wave 9, I want to know!
