Yeah no. There are plug-ins though. But those will come with their own set of challenges and quirks

The thing with String Tables is

You don't need to define a new Data Type (like a struct).

You can have as many as you want, that helps with organization. For instance you may put your UI text in a string table, have separate tables for different quests and so on.

Yeah I understand.

String tables are simply an Key (or ID) + String pair.

Key can can be anything unique (no spaces), and String is a big string.

Neither string tables or Data tables are very good to write your text in.

Using an external editor is ideal.

I mean that DialogueText variable should be text, not String.

But you should 100% use Text instead of strings.

Those nodes you shown are strings.

But depending on the complexity of what you are doing sometimes you don't even need to store the things into separate files.

You can just enter the text directly into the text field of the nodes. (Not great practice) but Unreal is still able to collect all the text used on blueprints.

So do data tables but the string table is easier to read and edit in excel (a bit cleaner).

The struct you defined to create the data table seems to be a string, I'd recommend using text, even if you don't plan to localize it.

Text can be more easily formatted, and linked to string tables that only contain the text and line id's.

String tables can be exported and imported

String tables are the correct way to store text and handle texts.

The way you link the the text you use in unreal to it is to click the little flag on Text inputs and select the source String Table and the line in it.
