What I was trying to get at is that racism has been so baked into our systems that to make things fair to all, just having a completely racially blind process doesn't result in fair outcomes.

It is a process vs outcome argument. DEI wants an fair outcome for everyone which may require an unfair process to get there. They SAY they want a fair process and then blame the outcome on the individual.

Of course they don't actually want a fair process either.
