"Working class" has been a very vague term for a very long time, but we've hit a stage where it's a self-chosen label for any white man who is openly racist and/or has a beard and some muscles, which is inevitably going to lead people to some completely stupid conclusions.

agree on the latter 100%, and the former’s quite possible if not probable. i’m just not willing to set it in stoneβ€”the β€œblind side” thing is just not as big a deal in 2026 as it was in 2006 (or 1986). if he’s the league’s best right tackle and ???? left tackle you don’t actually have to switch

We used to aggressively clown dudes that wore their chef whites outside of the kitchen. Have a little self respect man. Is your whole identity the job?

i’ll be curious if sewell actually moves to the left side! probably depends on what happens in the interior; they’ve seemed really comfortable putting a whatever tackle between laporta and a quality guard rather than flip sewell when decker can’t go.

06.03.2026 20:59 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

yeah, maybe? campbell did say that no matter what decker decides they need to find his replacement asap, so…

06.03.2026 20:11 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

yeah, though, like…you can’t just re-rack the same team forever. no matter what, decker has a very short shelf life and replacing him would have to be a top priority.

but this (especially after ragnow) is just a terrible look for how they’re managing all this

06.03.2026 19:24 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

yeah, like… there’s a world in which this decision-making could make sense, but it involves pulling off at least two big moves in the trade, free agency, and or draft market that they can’t possibly have any control over at this point

06.03.2026 18:47 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

yeah if you’re nickel and diming everybody after aiming for the super bowl and missing the playoffs, there had better be a plan

06.03.2026 18:45 πŸ‘ 6 πŸ” 1 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

feels like a wild gamble to take in the third straight β€œsuper bowl window is open but we haven’t even made the super bowl yet” offseason! there are other contracts to restructure!

06.03.2026 18:43 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

wasn't on my Bingo Card but if I had to guess I'd guess that Brad Holmes told Decker upon his decision to return that he would not be doing so at $21 million per when Detroit has an out in his deal

06.03.2026 18:37 πŸ‘ 31 πŸ” 2 πŸ’¬ 6 πŸ“Œ 1

sure does seem that way. and like, β€œcan we cut you a check for your whole year’s pay right now” is not usually a proposition that makes a player flip a table and walk out.

so, uh,,

06.03.2026 18:38 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

like, how does one fumble this bag. what is the plan for an immediate starting left tackle and also either center or guard.

are they going to field an offensive line with an average age of 23.2 or what

rule of thumb: any time you think to say β€œthey’re all the same to me,” instead consider saying, β€œare we the baddies?”

and maybe you aren’t, but like,

consider

β€œthey’re all the same to me” is a phrase that never serves justice

I think they might have better luck spending two thousand dollars holding a press conference where they detail who made the key decisions to collaborate with the Trump administration, how and when they were fired, and explaining what would stop that from happening again.

Kalshi employees "kind of understand that without the tweets and the streamers and all of the social-media stuff that the traders do for them, usually just for free, their marketing would be a lot harder," said Jack Campion, 20, a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Kalshi affiliate.
In September, Kalshi briefly signed up a 15-year-old videogame streamer who goes by vertid online to promote its brand on X as an affiliate.
A week later, Kalshi ended the partnership.
"Yo brother, legal team confirmed that we can't work with minors rn," a Kalshi employee wrote to the user in messages reviewed by the Journal. "Kinda sad tbh."

After spending their first four draft picks of 2024 on two cornerbacks, an offensive tackle and a combination safety/running back, Detroit’s going into this offseason potentially needing a starting-caliber corner, a starting-caliber tackle, and now quality rotational/depth help at both safety and running back–and it’s not like there aren’t other short- and long-term needs, but the shopping list would be significantly shorter if they could count on Terrion Arnold, Ennis Rakestraw, Giovanni Manu or Sione Vaki to check any of those items off of it.

Montgomery will make $6 million this year, the first of the two years added on with that 2024 extension. According to Over The Cap, that was set to be the 20th-highest cap number for any running back in the league–a huge amount to spend on a clear-cut No. 2 back who’ll turn 29 in June, on a team that’s technically over the 2026 cap number.

Suddenly Montgomery looks like a fancy new fridge in a house with broken windows.

Who cares about a bad space show written by a sex pest when you could watch the anime that he ripped off to make it? Outlaw Star is 1000% pure uncut aura starring a chaotic bisexual and his crew of hot, murderous women youtu.be/q3gI-E_vqVA?...
