I’m sure someone somewhere out there is buying these games to keep the lights on, but I have never gotten a legitimate recommendation for any of their games (outside of Top Gear).

I know this sounds like I’m dragging them, but I really am fascinated that they’ve made it work for this long.

I’ve said it before, but Kemco is one of the most interesting game developers to me. They’ve existed for 42 years, an half of that time has been spent pumping out just an absurd amount of JRPG shovelware. Like, the volume alone is impressive. Yet they stick around.

With this year being the 30th anniversary of Pokemon, I think it’s finally a good time to read this book I’ve had sitting on my shelf the past few years!

For the record, this is NOT me piling on Highguard (which is shutting down as noted in previous posts), but instead me wondering when the entire industry will get out of this rut we're in.

I understand games are expensive and they want a safe bet. But seems like it's not such a safe bet anymore.

So, how many games are going to fail trying to imitate already successful and established games (even though we know it has a 99% chance of failure) before publishers decide to instead try promoting innovation and coming up with the next big idea (even if it has a 98% chance of failure)?

I just thought to myself, "Ooh, this is gonna be sad..."

Got bit by the Final Fantasy bug again. Working on Final Fantasy V and XI right now. These are the two games I've spent the least time with (never played XI outside of a brief session YEARS ago).

Is it really "constructive criticism" or has the constant negativity of the internet cooked you so badly that you no longer know how to enjoy things

I haven't been able to get my head around the "where are the games?" complaints either. For a first year of a Nintendo console, this has been great! And the amount of third party support has even been surprising me so far.

Hey Xbox, for folks who've been having issues with 360 saves on Xbox One / Series X|S, there's a fix rolling out that should hopefully help.

You'll need to reboot first, but the next time you launch a 360 game your profile will be redownloaded and that should fix your ability to use cloud saves.
