the VGA anaolg input is total crap! I connected the #AMIGA to the display (without the RetroTINK-4K) and the LCD panel runs at 60 Hz. yuck!

thanks a lot! this was just for initial testing without the RetroTINK-4K. in the meantime, I have configured the #MiSTerFPGA to output direct video and connected it through the RT4K (with a modeline set to 2880x2160 of course). it looks absolutely stunning with CRT filters turned on! @retrotink.com

it does! I often use it because of the scroll-text to check if a display works at 49.92 Hz.
I'll post my findings here on Bluesky.
1st test: #MiSTerFPGA scaling the signal (HDMI output set to 1920x1440). the display works perfectly fine with the #AMIGA 's 49.92 Hz output, zero judder!

exactly 98 hours after having ordered the display, it showed up at my door. it was shipped from china to switzerland. #DHL did a fine job. shipping was expensive though (approx. USD 160).

so ein unsinn! der M1 ist definitiv langsamer, punkt. und: single-thread leistung kommt beim benutzer IMMER an, ganz im gegensatz zu multi-thread. zudem: was soll beim Air M1 an der ausstattung besser sein (abgesehen von Touch ID welches beim Neo in der kleinen konfiguration fehlt)???
weil? das verlinkte Air ist refurbished (also gebraucht) und im schlechtesten von vier verfuegbaren zustaenden. zudem ist der M1 langsamer als der A18 Pro.

meinereiner ist mit dem kleinen franzosen happy. nach etwas mehr als 4 monaten: ich wuerde ihn wieder kaufen. auch musik ab USB funktioniert inzwischen so gut wie immer (war bis jetzt der einzige aufreger).
merkwuerdig: vor zwei wochen hiess die serie noch "Steves Erbe β Wie Apple die Welt verΓ€ndert hat". ich nehme jedenfalls an, dass es sich um ein und dieselbe doku handelt.
