I do not know how it happened that a Super Bowl commercial was able to license the theme song from Mister Rogers, who recognized advertising as an intrusion on consciousness.

If I had a nickel for every time a Phineas and Ferb song rhymed “don’t mean to scare ya” with “take[ing] over the Tri-State Area,” I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

I accidentally discovered this wonderful life hack: the end of Jim Kweskin’s “Ladybugs’ Picnic” ( you know, from Sesame Street) leads into the beginning of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run” in a really satisfying way.

I want to love the concept of that “anxious but doing it anyways” t-shirt. But if I had it it would just always be referring to my ability to wear a t-shirt that said “anyways” on it.

Oh definitely! I honestly had some anxiety in his first term that there would be a ton of editorial cartoons of him in a sailor suit or something but I've been really gratified that those cultural streams haven't crossed too much!

I am prepared to call this, "They Didn't Believe Him" from Unexplored Worlds: The Steve Ditko Archives Vol 2, the perfect 4-page comic.

2025 has been my least favorite decade so far.

More data continued: I'm obsessed with a two-singer band people often say they can't tell the singers apart in, and I remember the time when I couldn't, but that was a long time ago.

More data: I can tell George's and Ringo's voices. I can tell John's speaking voice from Paul's if they're not singing. There are other rock bands where I can tell the different voices apart even though I don't know the names of the players involved.

If you have a take on this I'm curious to hear: I like the Beatles but I can't tell John's voice from Paul's.
