I'm going to be running a storm king's thunder campaign for my table, and I've learned so much about giant culture today.

I too made one for anyone to use. No credit needed.

I'd love to see every creator signal their "No AI" pledge with graphics like these.

Currently building out the continent of Celestara and working on a general map layout before getting details of the world ironed out.

Tiered "Wandering monsters" tables:

The First Story is more populated, roll every turn the PCs explore this level instead of every two turns and consult the table:
1) A pair of guards, half sleep at their post, talking about recent events.
2) 1-6 servants gossiping around the castle, trying their best to ignore the noises upstairs. They will scream their lungs out if bumping into armed intruders.
3) 1-6 guards patrolling the corridors, securing the doors and overall making sure nobody goes upstairs.
4) One of the squires and three pages trying to rein down Blackdoom, the Knight’s wild horse, and lock it on the stable.
5) A retinue of 2-8 guards led by the three squires ready to reinforce the main gates at the orders of The Knight of Wulf.
6) The Knight of Wulf with his three squires barking orders transmitted directly by the Earl. He will run through anyone who gets in his way, servants and intruders alike

The Second Story is quieter, most inhabitants are preoccupied with the ritual. There are 2-6 chances of triggering an encounter:
1) 1-4 servants snooping around, too curious for their own good but too cowardly to head for the Great Hall directly.
2) Two cultists carrying a censer and casting blight inside the castle.
3) Lockjaw, the Earl’s pet, is prowling around the empty corridors. It will try to alert his master of intruders and capture at least one.
4) 2-8 cultists breaking mirrors and chanting ominuously. Two of them carry the vase that contain the sacrificial snakes.
5) Earl Deargad escorted by two cultists assassins, patrolling the level, checking if his daughter still remains in her room and making sure none of his servants were to interfere with the ritual.
6) High Priestess Gorgona surrounded by a retinue of 1-6 cultists and 2 cultist assassins gathering the final elements for her ritual. She will not hesitate in turning intruders to stone unless they’re accompanied by members of Blackwall castle.

The Master Returns
On turn 6, a booming voice resounds throughout the entire house, bidding the servants to "make ready for my arrival." The servants spring hastily into action, preparing to receive their master and cover up any "indiscretions" they may have committed in his absence.

Occard will arrive at Misikkar Hall on turn 8, hurtling across the skies on a phantasmal steed. When he arrives, the balcony doors in the laboratory will open with a thunderous clap.

Nocturnal Novices
The priests run an off the record burial service. They will demand to know what the characters are doing in the cemetery this late at night and, unless convinced, sound the alarm. The clamoring bells will tip off the mob that something's wrong, prompting them to rush a turn earlier.

Dungeon design question: I'm kind of allergic to having static monsters in a room. How do y'all keep the dungeons as dynamic lived-spaces?

Stuff that I've done:
- Specific wandering monster tables
- Turns countdown
- Failure consequences

Now this is the kind of party that I can get behind

I really want to run a campaign with a player that consistently plays LG Paladins, and put him into a situation where his choice is to make a deal with the devil or not be able to succeed at his task.

I want to see how you do when you have Asmodeus as your deity, instead of Helm or the Plat Drag 😈

kind of unrelated, but a few months back I was driving through Colorado and I passed one of the other Tesla "self driving cars" on the highway going 50 (the speed limit was atleast 65-70) and I SWEAR the driver and the 3 passengers were all asleep or on their phone.

I got away from them asap.

can I get a table to determine if this is the ttrpg game we play?

I think it's time we #TTRPG creators have a hard conversation about #AI use and how it pollutes the industry, because as much as the #Ennies deserve the backlash, the issue is greater than their once-prestigious and now forever tainted awards.

And make no mistake, AI is not a tool. It's a cheat.
