Part of the review: For a while there, Robbie Williams was pretty damn insistent that he would just rock all night, DJ. But artistic geniuses cannot live on rock alone, and the former boyband superstar has been looking for other ways to satisfy his pangs of creative hunger. And judging by the awkward, anxious paintings and sculptures here at Moco – London’s newest “museum” – it’s art that he’s decided to stuff his face with. The big printed canvases of computerised line drawings on the walls are filled with therapy speak, greeting card banter and patronising, meaningless affirmations. An aeroplane flying across a blue sky pulls a banner that reads: “Yes you are self centred, but what a marvellous self to be centred on.” And my stomach starts turning. The words “roses are red, violets are blue, everyone’s a dickhead except you” are written across a cassette tape, while bubble font spells out: “I’m sorry about being incredibly charasmatic [sic] I tried to not be but there was nothing I could do about it.” Fortunately, he’s provided an “introvert chair” where you can “take a moment to ground yourself and breathe” if all of this powerful, insightful personal philosophy gets too much for you. Exactly what every introvert wants, a single armchair in the middle of an art gallery. And somehow, somehow, that’s still not the worst thing in Radical Honesty, as the show is called. No, the worst thing is an image of a signpost with “you and your limiting self beliefs” to the left and “the life you still could have” to the right. A fork in the road – with every direction leading to a hell where the guy from Take That is giving you life advice.
The Guardian had a 1 star review of Robbie William's MOCO exhibition: ‘Tone deaf, self-important, incredibly bad art... Can this really be presented as art?'
I get it, but I liked it. You don't see many international pop stars talking about imposter syndrome

Banksy's Girl with balloon. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girl_with_Balloon
Love is in the Air is a quintessential Banksy painting. The image of a masked militant poised to hurl a bouquet of flowers has become synonymous with the artist's indelible graphic style. One of Banksy’s most coveted works on canvas, it is an archetypal example of the artist’s use of dark humour, satire, and his perceptive, stimulating commentaries on contemporary political and social events. The work shares its title with the 1978 hit song by John Paul Young, emblematic of Banksy’s wit and expressive of the positive message of the work. The iconic flower thrower has become a powerful message expressing the absurdity of war and the artist’s vocal advocacy for peace. https://www.sothebys.com/en/articles/the-absurdity-of-war-banksys-love-is-in-the-air

Andy Warhol and Nico dressed up as Batman and Robin, 1966 Martin Schneider Seriously, the wealth of batty–pun intended–images from the 1960s never ceases to amaze me. Here we have the foremost pop artist of the era and the foremost German avant garde chanteuse of the era posing as Robin and Batman for Esquire magazine in 1966. The Batman TV series had taken to the airwaves in the start of 1966. Before the year was out, it would spawn a feature movie. Almost certainly the caped crusader was on everyone’s lips that year; as we all know, the show is simply a supreme example of kid-friendly absurdism that even something like Pee-wee’s Playhouse can’t quite touch. Warhol was interested in Batman as a subject of pop art. In addition to the image above, there was also his 1964 movie Batman Dracula, which is said to be the first camp treatment of Batman. The photographer who took the pics was Frank Bez. One of the images was used in an interesting little feature called “Remember the Sixties?” It seems likely that this was the introductory page for a series of photographs. The point of the feature was how incredibly much of note had been squeezed into just six years of our nation’s history, which is the exact thing that we all think when we think about that era. The really strange thing is that from our perspective, they were just getting going, the next five years or so would be incredibly active on the cultural front. Warhol first painted her portrait in 1963 when she was at the height of her career. Yet she was also severely ill with pneumonia. This highlights Warhol’s fascination with celebrity and death that began with his painting of Marilyn Monroe following her suicide in 1962 and continued throughout his oeuvre. In this portrait Warhol used a publicity photograph for Taylor’s film ‘Butterfly 8’ as the basis for the screenprint. It is typical of his 1960s Pop style with vibrant, flat blocks of colour. This poster was made for an exhibition held in 1965, the same year Warhol famously announced that he was ‘retiring’ from painting. Source: https://www.nationalgalleries.org/art-and-artists/93269
