While at ComicsPRO, I did a straw poll to try and settle an ongoing behind the scenes debate about comics: Do people in the industry want comprehensive sales charts? And, more importantly, does the direct market need them?

I wrote about ten things I liked or didn't like from a VERY busy, ComicsPRO fueled week for comics, including Skate Ali appealing, DC crushing it, Skybound going Terminal, 3 Worlds/3 Moons surprising move, that Killboy teaser art, HELLO KITTY???, the design of the Archie Compacts, and more.
I've been working on that for years!

In much, much different news, I walked viewers through my five favorite pieces of original comic art from my collection on the SKTCHD YouTube. This is a teaser for my much requested office tour, but it was fun doing this.

ComicsPRO was last week, and today, I wrote about those who won and those who lost at this event for the direct market and comic shops, led by the Big Two, an ascendant production house, anyone who wanted to not be exhausted, and an array of others.
Last week's annual conference for ComicsPRO, a trade organization for comic retailers, was a massive event, and I wrote about the promise it showed as attending publishers and retailers looked to build on recent successes and the influx of new readers in comic shops.
