What a stunning shot of this lilac breasted roller, and it has to be one of the most beautiful and unique birds I've ever seen. 😊

There are many photogenic birds out there but the Lilac-breasted Roller is one of my favorites. I call them "Damn Birds" because it seems like every time I get one in focus, they fly away and I go "damn!" 😆 But once in awhile, they stand still!

Hidden amongst a thicket, a small Long-tailed Tit peers out from its cosy nest, it's long tail sticking out rather conspicuously behind it. The nest is an artful blend of moss and lichen, camouflaged perfectly with the surroundings. Sunlight filters through the branches, casting a soft glow and highlighting the bird's bright, watchful eyes.
