A more convenient way to edit a long text is the document editor. You can edit any length of text without bothering about individual posts. When you are done you switch back to post editing and the text is automatically cut into posts.

When you edit a thread and some posts have little text left, merge posts will compress the thread into few posts as possible. However it will not move text from a post with images or video to another post to avoid breaking any textual references to the attachments.

If you enable "auto split" the a post gets automatically added while you type and a post is full. Excess text is moved to the new post. Skywalker tries to create breaks between phrases.

Skywalker offers a rich set of features to compose threads.
The plus-button lets you add a post to your thread.
In the options menu is the options "auto number" numbers your posts 1/n, 2/n etc.
The numbers are prefixed with the 🧵-symbol. You can change the prefix to your liking.

Really weird why they don't show with Skywalker while on my Samsung phone it is all fine.
I just checked. I have even included the math symbols in Skywalker. I don't know why it does not work on HyperOS. It's really a pain these differences across vendors.
Interesting. For regression testing I have an old Samsung phone on Android 9. There the characters are available. Looks like Xiaomi has stripped the unicode character set???
Most of the font characters are normally used for math. Maybe those can be installed separately?

Hmm. Not sure why this happens. Why do you actually need to set the appview? You are hosted on the blacksky PDS. Skywalker sends requests to the PDS decides which appview to use when you have not set it.
You can set 'blacksky.app' as hosting provider. You can type in the field!
Seems those unicode characters are missing. What Android version do you have?
You can change the appview.. Go to settings > advanced settings

Unroll thread option
Unwrap quote chain option
With Skywalker you do not need a separate thread reader app to unroll threads.
Chose "Unroll thread" from then post menu to unroll a thread into a single document.
Likewise for nested quotes there is "Unwrap quote chain" which will flatten the chain to a sequence of posts.
The Qt/QML library I use should take care of that. I have seen that it increases the frame rate on my Samsung Galaxy when scrolling starts.

I wish I knew why this happens. I have heard this complaint from other users with Pixel phones. It seems to happen on some models but not all as I also got feedback from Pixel users that it works fine.

If you have multiple accounts you can long press on any of the post interaction icons to reply, repost, like or bookmark with any of your other accounts.
Funny, I am using the reverse post order for a while now. In a test setup I have the original post order to make sure that I don't break that. And it utterly consuses me now. :D
Er gaat soms iets fout met het uploaden van Giphy. Als je nog een keer post na die error werkt het meestal wel.
Verder kan je de Tenor gifs nog steeds gebruiken.

Yes, for a search like that you want support from the backend. What may fly is do a linear search through, say, the last 1000 posts in your timeline. I don't know how useful that would be.
Note that you still can use Tenor GIFs as well (2nd tab).
I'm not sure why it happens. Giphy seems a bit slow at times. Maybe getting the GIF from Giphy sometimes fails resulting in an incomplete upload. I will have a closer look at if for next release.
I have seen that error once or twice myself. If you add it again do you get thaf same error again?
