This was interesting. I felt it went astray a bit though in seeming to define variations of ideology as personal types. I prefer to think of liberal versus conservative ideas rather than people because it seems to keep the values and beliefs foregrounded. Eg, liberals can often be conservative.

This would be true if we were discussing some other party, not a conservative democratic party that has been championing neoliberalism for many decades. Given the seriousness of what we're facing, I don't think it unreasonable to assume we need to fight as hard as hell right now against oligarchy.
