Super surreal to be watching tornadoes & intense storms passing through where I grew up/where my family lives, while it's 74°F (23°C) and not a cloud in the sunny sky in the Bay Area.
Hope everyone is safe tonight.

Oh no. Not the chair test.
I initially was like “I’m mostly diagnosed, specialist said if meds work, good, no need for test.” But I wanted confirmation/data. Then waffled & decided I didn’t want to pay $$$ to be disabled (temporarily?) just for “data”.
I hope the tracking helps narrow things down!
I tried to reply last night that I really love the first one with the lavender in front for perspective, but BS was being broken last night. They’re all really lovely shots!
These are great!
I didn’t even try because I crashed so hard & I’m close to the Bay, so there was some patchy fog-stuff that we usually get before it got dark.
Sheri Byrne-Haber's "Giving A Damn About Accessibility" has great tips on how to deal with people who challenge or dismiss the need for accessibility.

I was a little freaked out I got banned & didn’t know it but I could see my account from my alternate one & my account wasn’t gone for anyone else.
So tired it’s probably for the best. But it surprised me how much I will open an app with a notification.
It broke again a bit later, but that time I actually got an error message.
Probably for the best, anyway.
Well that sucked. Couldn’t log in/load this bluesky account for like 2 hours. Just spinny loading circle or blank info on all platforms/devices.
I load this app way too frequently (it had a notification, is mostly why I kept trying)
I think I’m back now, right before therapy.
If they want me back they have to go fully Woke 2, sorry. Whole hog. I gotta be able to get an abortion there
Covid is oncogenic, increases your chance of heart disease & stroke, seriously weakens your immune system, can bring on POTS, MCAS, ME, diabetes & myriad other disabling chronic illnesses but folks trying to protect themselves are ‘overreacting’
Cool, cool, cool.

So all the stores in my area is out of this deodorant which is so far the only thing I can wear that does not bother both my skin and my lungs. So it looks like Amazon is my only choice and I fucking hate that.
If anyone wants to throw a few bucks for that, hit me up because it's like 20 bucks.
#LunarEclipse FAQ:
Q: Is it safe to look at?
A: Absolutely! Unlike a solar eclipse, there's no UNsafe time to look at a lunar eclipse.
Q: Do I need a telescope?
A: Nope! Best view is with naked eye. Just look up!
Q: Does the eclipse portend terror & doom?
A: Not at all! The news has that covered.
migrating from the nazi newsletter site is a lot easier than it used to be and i don't know why more people don't do it.
big agree with you though. for realtalk.
And also, scritches to Luna & thank you for taking such good care of her & updating us on how she’s doing.
I have (probably unhealthy) parasocial relationships with everyone’s pets & love seeing pictures & getting updates.
I have been curious about the rando scolds (that aren’t bots) you get here & this one is just annoying. Nothing but endless reposts & the one (other) actual post in the past day is shaming TCM hosts for having clothes they don’t like?? Zero engagement, just random judgy BS. (Reported & blocked.)
I feel like I need to load the img into notepad & mark all the cassettes/CD’s I own(ed). It’s such a great selection! Some I didn’t know came out on cassette & some were soundtracks to my teen years in the same format (Lemonheads, The Cure Sanding…, etc.)
Both are so good! I *mainlined* Four Calendar Cafe when it came out, so I get the overdoing it.
I keep forgetting I have the 4AD CD box set that my partner got me (neither one of us remember what holiday it was) a couple decades ago. Need to get it out!
I hope it works for you! I’d love to hear your experience with it once you try it!
(And I’m inspired to mess around with paint a bit this week if I can)
I really just haven’t had enough play time with it to figure out what direction to go with it. I got it for a class last year and have only poked at it a little bit since.
I really enjoy the dense matte finish of gouache & the acryla has that, but it handles a bit more plasticky like acrylic. It’s very confusing. I was thinking initially it’d be a matte acrylic (like craft paint?), but it’s not? I don’t have words for how weird it is to work with, comparatively.
But I’ll throw a couple bucks your way to go toward someone else figuring out how to use them (if you can, share how they work for you!)
I’m no help with if it would work for that, it is really buttery and lovely. I haven’t figured it out yet (not had a lot of time with it TBH). I started out as a kid with cheap oils, tempera & watercolours, then used Plaka, rewettable gouache & acrylic in uni & now watercolour mostly as an adult.
What kind/brand?
I have not gotten used to acrylic gouache yet. I’ve used regular gouache for so long now, but I got some Holbein Acryla Gouache for other purposes (gelatin plate printing) & it doesn’t work for that but it also doesn’t behave like acrylic OR gouache so I dunno how to work with it.
Omg fuck you Greg!!
(That booook!)
I got in SO MANY arguments with my sister & our shared bookshelf on how books should be shelved. I am an artist, so I didn’t like the larger hardbacks being shelved in w/the paperbacks (though always topical/alpha after that)
Our Dad had LOC labels on his books. (LOTS of undiagnosed autism lol)
I see it now!
It was confusing, since the pic reads as organised but then the vertical columns don’t break the same! But since I know how it is in-situ it makes a lot more sense.
I come from a family of librarians (aunt, father, sister) so I know cataloguing is personal (& based on environment)
Oh, I think I see, do you org it vertically like books?
It’s just confusing based on how I always had mine, but I did drawers (like card catalogues) more than shelf stacks (never had wall space).
