I work in state government and the exec team says this incessantly.

We have to be using AI because it’s inevitable. We have to use it or we’ll fall behind.

Fall behind what? We’re state government. We could be using pencil and paper and still exist.

I’ve been running mail for myself and a few others for a while now with an instance Mail in a Box.

It’s okay. The spam filtering isn’t all that good but it does work.

They could just not put it there at all. Nobody actually wants AI in Firefox. It’s disappointing that they don’t pay attention to their target audience.

I don’t understand how everybody has just accepted AI output as both flawed and gospel. I understand the motivations but current leadership, but I don’t know why people have thrown their hands up and accepted it.
