To everyone pushing for AI use in schools and universities: What does it mean to be educated?

No, the point is that it doesn’t work at all. 50% is a coin toss.

Remember that time you sided with ICE in the city you’re headquartered in?

AI works 50% of the time when you know the topic and 100% of the time when you don’t.

FOR A STUDENT WHO USED AI TO WRITE A PAPER
Now I let it fall back in the grasses.
I hear you. I know this life is hard now.
I know your days are precious on this earth.
But what are you trying to be free of?
The living? The miraculous task of it?
Love is for the ones who love the work.

The line between oligarchs and the military has all but disappeared.

Commercial datacenters are indistinguishable from military and police operations.

Keep that in mind as you continue to push your business, and your personal life, further into the cloud.

I work in state government and the exec team says this incessantly.

We have to be using AI because it’s inevitable. We have to use it or we’ll fall behind.

Fall behind what? We’re state government. We could be using pencil and paper and still exist.

There are a few webmail interfaces that look decent.

And I’d like to work on an smtp caching/routing front end that would make it easier for people to run their own home mail server but have some fallback options.

I’ve been running mail for myself and a few others for a while now with an instance Mail in a Box.

It’s okay. The spam filtering isn’t all that good but it does work.

Email is something I’d like to spend more time investigating.

Yeah, I did this on my 5-axis mill, but you could waste all your time with anything you find around the house.

The last poll they ran ended up being like 95% absolutely never AI in Firefox. Stop spending resources on it.

They could just not put it there at all. Nobody actually wants AI in Firefox. It’s disappointing that they don’t pay attention to their target audience.

I don’t understand how everybody has just accepted AI output as both flawed and gospel. I understand the motivations but current leadership, but I don’t know why people have thrown their hands up and accepted it.

We’ve had computer targeting for decades. But mistakes were owned by the people.

I am programmed at fifty to perform childishly-to insult "The Star-Spangled Banner," to scrawl pictures of a Nazi flag and an asshole and a lot of other things with a felt-tipped pen. To give an idea of the maturity of my illustrations for this book, here is my picture of an ass-hole:

I think we have a plan for this new one. Hopefully going to get it installed before the birds show up.

It’s new pole and nest platform next to Spring Meadow Lake.

It was great live. I saw them at Warped Tour right before they hit it big on MTV. It was on a side stage at the beginning of the day. Maybe 50 people there. One of my favorite shows.
