The more that I use AI tools throughout the day the more I'm convince that we are here. This is what I have been looking forward to for so long to be able to have available

Tried to migrate my OpenClaw Harry over to use Gemini pro preview 3.1 this morning. No dice.
What have I been missing?! This is another group of folks that I definitely need to hear.
I've put together some thoughts on where AI is exploding. It's gone from "it's there" to constant use β meeting transcriptions, tackling complex challenges β and it's only getting better.

What novel ideas are you using AI for?
This video really helped to explain for me as well of the OpenClaw connection and the use of event triggers. Where events can be time, email, human prompting.

And the biggest thing is putting together all of the practices of having a good Planning time, then into mocks, to code reviews, security reviews, etc.
Then on the code writing front, this is where ClaudeCode is still incredibly strong. I have been doing some things in getting some personal apps, such as one for my daughter's softball team ready. ClaudeCode is still really excelling at that deep level writing.
That is definitely going to be one of my early next posts, but I will definitely put thoughts out here.
I'm seeing a distinct difference in the how and the depth. On the home front of working with my house, being an assistant that just happens to be awesome at code and deep research.
Spent hours failing to set up cloud-init VMs in my home lab. Gave #ClaudeCode a shot β working setup in ~20 minutes.
Wrote up the whole experience π

How are you using AI for infrastructure tasks?
I've got 20 minutes left before the weekly usage limits reset on my Claude plan. TIme to see what I can crunch in before then. A whole new world living in.
Earlier I asked OpenClaw to complete some deeper research on a research effort/project that we were building...
All the hype happening these days with agents and such. I think I need to go back and watch The Matrix again...
I'm the latest into the whole OpenClaw environment. I got it to a point that I could actually talk to a local LLM, but that experience was a bit of bad quality. I moved back to the standard set up with Opus 4.5 and that is it. And just wow.
Itβs been a good week of PTO so far. Going to be diving into AI and the MCP world.
Welcome to 2026! It's off with a bang already. I'm getting back into the social seen a little bit. I wrapped up 2026 by learning a few more tricks to have up my sleeve to be able to tackle the days ahead more efficiently. With a little help from YouTube.
Stillβ¦..
I made the move back to Hugo Congo (github.com/jpanther/congo) this weekend with a little anti-gravity help. I think I like the polish of it a bit better versus the straight technical look.
Been diving into helping automate my day to day on my machine lately. Interestingly enough it is using Apple Shortcuts for this. The most recent automation is involving setting the default microphone. Using the external mic rather than the airpods once they reconnect.
I need to make sure to find you. I have a book that I need signed from you! :)
Pretty awesome morning in Austin for #autocon4. Got a good run in seeing @drewcm.bsky.social on the path before getting things started with Nautocon!
This is definitely strong automation and reducing the amount of effort needed to get to Event Driven automation. Truly awesome work.
One of the craziest plays that I have ever seen. Quite the heads up and knowing what was going on.
Got rolling with @tailscale.com this week. What an awesome experience. And the best part is that it works properly with CarPlay as well! My new strong recommendation.
When chatbots ask you to verify your contact information after logging into the web interface, something is wrong.
Asking Gemini and ChatGPT, both suggest to not do what this tech suggested.
Time to complete my move to Android. Apple is incompetent.
Just talked to Apple support about why my phone Home & Lock Screen is chewing thru battery. They now suggest to force close every app when not in use. That will save battery. I thought we were supposed to leave them all open?
A couple of moments that I don't like to put out there. I received an email from Apple Support about a call back (next post). It stated that I would get a callback at 7:15 CST. How are timezones that difficult to get right? We are in Daylight Saving Time. CDT....
Available now for only $9.99 now on Packt's site - Modern Network Observability. A great opportunity to get my book that I co-authored with David and Christian about the #observability pipelines using #opensource.
Gemini is improving and I am hearing that it is a pretty strong competitor now days.
I've been a fan of the idea of Google Glass for a long time now. I'm shocked at how long it has taken but it definitely seems like the tech has now evolved further. I'm not seeing many rumors from the Apple ecosystem.
The race in adopting AI components into the tech ecosystem is just accelerating at a breakneck pace. I'm hearing that there were several announcements with Google I/O that are just awesome and absolutely something that I can see adopting. Also seeing some things from MS Graph. Apple is lagging.
