I think it's pretty reasonable to not draw a distinction between willful ignorance and evil. Evil is when ignorance meets opportunity.

Don't bother looking back to see what created the present that led to your interest and involvement. Time distorts as the velocity mounts. You think your present is already the future and it'll be all the more disorienting when when you find out it can be the past.
