There is an article going around that ESP32 chips have a backdoor. It's an undocumented software API. If you are writing code for the ESP32, you can run more commands. It doesn't allow anyone from the outside to just access what's going on in the chip. The use of the word "backdoor" was clickbait 🫤

I didn't know what I'd do with it either. First played with it on a zima board. Realized that I wanted to move a few more VMs off virtual box on my desktop pc to proxmox. Bought a beelink server. Have 5 VMs/LXCs now and plans for 3 more. Seems overkill at first but "If you build it, they will come".

I even set up an lxc container to monitor my proxmoxes with inlfluxdb and grafana
