Found this excellent blog post comparing Next.js, Remix, and Astro: bejamas.io/blog/next-js...
Indie hacking 101:
1. Build an MVP that you can confidently say that itβs the best in the world at one particular task
2. Launch it fast to validate if it makes a viable business
3. Keep building to remain the best in the market despite competition
4. Distribute it to more people
What are the best BlackFriday macOS apps to buy that are not already in Setapp? π§
Lemon Squeezy is a different story⦠The product has been horribly buggy since forever
How can yβall post so much on so many platforms and still manage to ship features, fix bugs, and do marketing? π
Sure, more people will be able to build more things that they couldnβt before. But they wonβt be able to go as far and as deep with these new tech as engineers can.
In a word, there is always more complex engineering work to be done on top of any new innovation.
I donβt believe AI or any technological evolution will make engineering skill less valuable.
More than ever, when there is a technological evolution, we need more talented engineers to apply these tech to solve higher economic problems.
cmdenter is such a cool domain!
Welcome @danielnguyen.me π
thatβs what βsocialβ means!
PS: I have a main project to focus 80% of my time on already.
While it was fun to play with new tech on the weekends, there are hundreds of developers working on similar tools right now. It will be difficult for me to catch up in features. π
I tried out Next.js 15 this weekend by making a small Bluesky analytics app.
My primary goal was to see how well Next.js 15 works with other tools, but the app has come along nicely, and I can add features quite easily now.
Should I continue building it or leave it here? π
Probably one of the first indie project for Bluesky that has some success?
We need to catch up! π
It has a dark mode, of course! π
I didn't build it, though; it just works out of the box thanks to Mantine's built-in dark mode. π
I had only one Sunday to work on this, so I could only add one feature: Follower History.
But other stats should be quite easy to add now. I'll add more next weekend or when I'm feeling lazy with my main product. π
Issues and PRs are welcome, of course!
Very nice! Curious how is it different from github.com/di-sukharev/...
thatβs what X/Twitter was about for me, it still is but maybe a bit less because of all the noise
Same, just thinking about having to update my LinkedIn profile scares the shit out of me π
I'm looking at Bluesky developer documentation right now. Damn, they even have a TypeScript SDK!
Getting closer to release the next big version of my product π
Who's building Bluesky Scheduling & Analytics? π
Yours, the left one is too distracting to trust
I just realized that Bluesky source code is open-source, which means the community can contribute code/features to the platform. π€―
I've always been wanting to fix X/Twitter scheduling features. I can now just make a PR to Bluesky Github repo! π
Thanks Justin. Iβm starting to realize the same thing!
Hey there! π¦π
Share with me some indie hackers, founders, engineers to follow, my Following tab is empty! π
Always a huge inspiration! How can you grow everything new so fast & so good at the same time? π
How old is he? π
Can someone summarize what are the primary differences of Bluesky vs. X/Twitter?
Particularly how can everyone get so many followers so quickly?
