It’s almost as if taxpayers don’t want to bankroll fancy ballroom spaces for the wealthy and well-connected while they’re struggling to keep a roof over their own heads.
Kristi Noem’s removal is overdue. But the damage done under her watch—from abuses by ICE to a lack of accountability at CBP—won’t disappear overnight. One firing isn’t reform. Congress must act to rein in these agencies and restore the rule of law.
