π± The rewilding charity Tir Natur has become the custodian of 484 hectares in Cwm DoethΓ―e (the DoethΓ―e Valley) with the aim of establishing Walesβs largest rewilding site. The land is flanked by two rivers and includes 65 hectares of peat bogs as well as pockets of Celtic rainforest.

@kneppwilding.bsky.socialβs two-decade ecological review is invaluable evidence that rewilding works. Once familiar but now scarce birds, butterflies, dragonflies and more have all staged comebacks. For example, results show a 900% increase in breeding birds, with a 500% rise in nightingales.
