🦫 One year since wild beaver releases were legalised in England, reintroductions are surging. Recent wild releases hit Somerset and Cornwall, while Rewilding Network member Boothby Wildland hosted a release in England’s largest enclosure.

🌱 The rewilding charity Tir Natur has become the custodian of 484 hectares in Cwm Doethïe (the Doethïe Valley) with the aim of establishing Wales’s largest rewilding site. The land is flanked by two rivers and includes 65 hectares of peat bogs as well as pockets of Celtic rainforest.

🌳 The Northwoods Rewilding Network brings together farms, crofts, estates and community-owned land across Scotland, all united by their ambition to restore nature. Now 100 partners strong, the network is driving major ecological recovery across 12,778 hectares of land.

@kneppwilding.bsky.social’s two-decade ecological review is invaluable evidence that rewilding works. Once familiar but now scarce birds, butterflies, dragonflies and more have all staged comebacks. For example, results show a 900% increase in breeding birds, with a 500% rise in nightingales.

🐾 To gauge local views on lynx reintroduction, Lynx to Scotland are inviting local people, organisations and land managers – including livestock farmers, foresters, gamekeepers and deer stalkers – to 42 public discussion sessions in the next month across the Highlands and Moray.
