I guess the mistake here is calling it _my_ music library.

It's not mine. It’s Apple’s.

What’s mine are the pointers to Apple’s music catalog.

Apple (& rights holders) get to decide what constitutes an album β€” now and in the future.

I hate when my music library drifts over time.

Example:

- Add "Phantom of the Opera" to my library
- 3 years pass
- Now there's 5 "Phantom of the Opera" albums in my library, each with only a partial set of songs.

πŸ“ Just me reflecting on a word choice I saw in a UI. No biggie.

lol, classic exploitation: you do the work, they promise "exposure" instead of payment.

I've taken lessons (if that's what you mean). And I still can't lower my score.

Makes me think I've plateaued as a human in this sport ha

This is me with golf.

I want to get better at golf. I've practiced a lot.

And I'm not any better β€” not in any meaningful, noticeable way.

If anything, I'm worse.

In fact, I've noticed that I play best when I haven't played in a while. Something about my expectations being low I guess?

I can assure you that animation or no animation, these pies still tasted equally delicious.

Woah, this is dope. Just added it to my pies site in just a few lines of CSS. Nice progressive enhancement where supported.

Have you ever tried writing a comment in CSS that starts with "Thanks you C"? Or adjusting a "thank you" comment?

Mine seems to always autocomplete to @chriscoyier.net lol

The cool thing about the march of technology is that just when you thought it couldn't possibly get worse something proves you just aren't abjectly imaginative enough.

Make it easy for most people to use the native solutions, and possible for ambitious experts to try something different.

Instead we make it easy for everyone to try something different, so few stick to the simple, dependable ones β€” to the detriment of many IMO

Unpopular opinion: I don’t want more options for styling selects, date pickers, color pickers, etc.

A few people might do it well, e.g. Airbnb on a date picker, but I sure as hell don’t want my insurance company, or cable company, or utility company making a go at it. Just use the native ones.

Making Icon Sets Easy With Web Origami Writing about the big beautiful mess that is making things for the world wide web.

πŸ“ The way I’m implementing icons with #webOrigami looks an awful lot like an import map β€” and I really like that.

totally. that's what I was trying to get at in a post I wrote last year.

the theory is: build great stuff for agents so humans will be better off!

but I'm afraid the reality becomes: all time/money/resources/attention goes to robots and humans are 2nd class

22.02.2026 04:24 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Not even weekends, nights too. Every moment you leave work becomes this cultural expectation of β€œwhat will your agents doing while you’re gone?” and when you come back it’s β€œwhat did your agents accomplish while you were gone?”

so you’re not required to work 24/7, 365, but then you kind of are
