I guess the mistake here is calling it _my_ music library.
It's not mine. Itβs Appleβs.
Whatβs mine are the pointers to Appleβs music catalog.
Apple (& rights holders) get to decide what constitutes an album β now and in the future.
I hate when my music library drifts over time.
Example:
- Add "Phantom of the Opera" to my library
- 3 years pass
- Now there's 5 "Phantom of the Opera" albums in my library, each with only a partial set of songs.

Make it easy for most people to use the native solutions, and possible for ambitious experts to try something different.
Instead we make it easy for everyone to try something different, so few stick to the simple, dependable ones β to the detriment of many IMO
Unpopular opinion: I donβt want more options for styling selects, date pickers, color pickers, etc.
A few people might do it well, e.g. Airbnb on a date picker, but I sure as hell donβt want my insurance company, or cable company, or utility company making a go at it. Just use the native ones.
