Congress should be protecting health care, not taking it away. We should prioritize middle-class tax relief, not giveaways to those at the top.
We should oppose these plans, go back to the drawing board, & write up a reconciliation bill that puts working people first.
To make matters worse, the plan allows trillions in new borrowing, making our nation’s ballooning national debt even worse and threatening the future stability of critical spending like Medicare and Social Security.
The proposed cuts would take health care away from 14 million Americans. These cuts pay, in part, for the extension of tax cuts tilted in favor of the wealthiest households, plus new tax giveaways for millionaire heirs.
