I admittedly think I burnt myself out in deadlock after all the games + toasted drawings recently, so I'm taking a bit of a break from really anything for it for a while to enjoy some other games for a bit (or work on some of my own projects).

Extracted with 4.6k worth of loot and they asked me how, I said I pulled myself up from my bootstraps and built myself up from nothing (MIDA sponsor kit and killing two other runners)

It's been awesome to have disposable income and buy an overwhelming amount of indie games to support the devs.

No exaggeration I think it's the best Nintendo game ever 10/10 in every regard.

I'm happy with the PvP and PvE mix too — it's a good level of calculation in what to do when. I guess my other critique is that some enemies need to have their HP reduced for sure. The average trash mob is fine but the bigger boys need to have a good amount chopped off.

Im glad to see that many of the runner shell abilities weren't as intrusive as I thought they would be. Of course some are more useful than others but the low TTK helps even that out by a lot, and even the worst skills are situational in the way that when you don't have them you wish to god you did.

My biggest issues have to do with extraction shooters as a whole (information overload & the new player experience) and how much the medkits heal. I didn't have an issue with ammo like others did because I just didn't take fights I knew were disadvantageous.

My thoughts on nuMarathon after the server slam is that it's fun and better than I expected. I like shooters with low TTK that emphasize precision and risk v. reward, as well as ones that reward positioning. Reminds me of Hunt Showdown in how I engage with the game and other players.

Ive always had the theory that the reason why the original marathon didn't have hitscan enemies is that Battleroids process time differently and can see bullets and dodge them. I think that'll be evident when Compilers / P'fhor show up and they turn out to be shooting fast bolts of energy.

I keep yelling at people in marathon. When they down me and I know it's done but I see them looting I just shout "GET OVER HERE AND FINISH THE JOB!"and various chides and jeers of a similar caliber

The whole "strike over social media" stuff reeks of people who've never heard of organizing offline or who have never critically understood "the revolution will not be televised".

Just saw that DL Toasted has over 42k downloads. That is truly a humbling number to think of people seeing and using my art. Thank you so much. Hope you're enjoying it as much as I enjoyed making it!
