I like the efficiency of #3Dprinting using waste heat from a compute process to heat the bed!

Still only slightly more than my train tickets from Reading, having chosen later trains both ways than absolutely ideal to avoid paying considerably more!
Sure! Highly relatable. I only had enough certainty to book things last night myself - got lucky with reasonable train prices and the last room in the hotel I stayed in last year. But it does mean I'm on a train right now while all my #3dprinting folks are in a pub in Manchester!
'No officer it's not a gun, it's a laser'.
Need to practice saying that with absolutely no trace of sarcasm.
Yes! Hope it's been a good trip did you!
Never mind, hope it's been a good day geeking out in 3D printing!
Coffee anytime you're coming hy Reading :)
That sounds like a great idea, join the trading bloc on their doorstep like we in the UK...
Damnit.
I have a thing I have to do tomorrow, so I'll be getting into Manchester Piccadilly tomorrow 23:30... See you Sunday?
Seems plausible! Definitely worth trying an alternative, and slow speeds to minimise stress.
OK so not that. I have no experience with their filament quality aside those so-bad-where-did-they-find-them white PLA samples with Enders and CR's!
Was blown air cooling used during print?
Could be from stress buildup during the print, or rapid cooldown of the part after printing? A slower ramp down of temperature, annealing could help.
Was the ABS old? Not particularly hygroscopic but could be inherently weak especially if it's taken in moisture. That doesn't sound normal to me.
Before you chuck:
Instead of vapour smoothing, try first sanding with 180 grit, and then just pour the acetone evenly over the part [helps to spin it] and let it run off immediately. Concentrates the action on the surface without affecting the structure.
Have you tried emailing the authors?
And this is why we can't have nice things :(
That sounds lousy, sorry to hear.
Rather than asking nicely, can you make a properly costed business proposal that they can't ignore?
You are probably not the only one already interested in charging a car, and chargers will increase the property value...
Is that really the only way you could imagine getting power to the parking lot?
You might want to investigate local incentive schemes for installing chargers in car parks. It's just wiring and a meter.
It isn't communism to invest in infrastructure, people.
A market segmentation dark pattern is born.
UK supplier Ooznest will cut to exact sizes if that helps...
I'm interested in the Kallax Micron, would love to see that!
My original totally parametric coreXY Zedmaker design could easily be made to fit a Kallax.
Sets should come with a spare 10mm by law.
What's your actual feeling here, interested in EV but frustrated it's not easier to do at your apartment, or skeptical of EVs and looking to highlight preference for staying ICE?
The good news is that EV charging infrastructure now is the worst it will ever be, and things are improving.
If you have a parking space for your car, getting power to it should be doable with any will at all.
This does NOT have to be a fast charger! Just a mains outlet is OK plugged in overnight.
Yep I could potentially make them even taller and do away with the desks they sit on!
Rebuilding my 509x509x509mm printers as modern coreXY will actually reduce their footprint, but raise their bulk to eye level where as bedslingers it's just vertical extrusions and a crossbar that we easily see through and past, so don't dominate the space.
Yep, that's a vital metric. When I built my printers for university research, a key constraint was using a laser cutter that could go up to 1000x600mm, but that turned out to be fine because lab benches are 60cm deep anyway.
Build volume is still only three-fiddy-cubed.
I'm still having to roll my own to get past 500mm axes...
Enclosing them makes a drastic difference to the feng shui of the office...
To what people do you think I belong? I just spoke against dehumanising your vile president.
Look at your words and how many false assumptions you need to make to work yourself up. Critical thinking will set you free from the us/them cult you're in.
Only one of those is a fact: she was born in Somalia. The rest is your opinion. You've revealed your truth, and yes, it's offensive to me. I doubt you'd have had the courage to unmask yourself like this a few years ago, and hopefully you'll feel some shame when your cult collapses and eats itself.
EVERY accusation a confession.
