Also to clarify how the University plans to protect and support Trans individuals and consult with Students, Staff and community groups on how best to respond to and implement policy decisions. Even in the face of the outwardly hostile and exclusionary interim policy pushed by the EHRC.

We feel like the Universities statement is a quiet acknowledgement of a larger issue and urge them to be vocal about their commitment to Inclusivity and what they will do to support our trans community. Not just through signposting to support, but through inclusive policy decisions and guidance.

We thank @uniofhull.bsky.social for their commitment to uphold Diversity, Inclusion and Respect, but we feel like their statement does little to address the issues at hand. This lukewarm response does nothing to challenge the slow creep of transphobia embedding itself into legislation.

In regards to the recent UK Supreme Court Rulings and the interim guidance published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, We want to affirm our commitment standing by our trans siblings. Trans women are women, Trans Men are Men and everyone is valid in their own identity.
