We use an MPC for some of our stuff and yep it works great! Flawless? Definitely not. Akai loves to frustrate users with nonsensical bugs. But I quite like it. Not for everything, but for lots! Keeps us off Windows 11 too. - Tim

It lives! Tim's new #FPGBC assembled and ready to rock for #ClassicGameFest! We'll likely bring the OG DMG-001 too but this sounds pretty darn good and, importantly, it's backlit (and also a pretty good FPGA implementation). Tim's Analogue Pocket will be for playing NSFs.

Also goes without saying, given what our upcoming album, The Social Machine, is about that today was a tough day for the world. We're certainly not ignoring that. While Social Machine is catharsis, chipsurf is more of our temporary escape.

At LONG last, Tim finally got his MB6582 working well enough to actually put the case screws in. It's not perfect - only channel 3 has populated SIDs at the moment, but it does everything it needs to.

I like watching Chernobyl (HBO Miniseries) about once a year. At one point, they use the term "bio-robots" (humans). Given the human population is rapidly growing, it seems weird to use AI to displace jobs when there are increasingly more people by the second that need jobs. - Tim

We finally had our first band practice of 2026! Been a scheduling mess but we got there! We're almost finished with the last couple of songs for the album, The Social Machine. It has turned into a history lesson vs a cautionary tale but we're nonetheless proud of it.

We spent a good chunk of band practice working on the final song on our upcoming album. We ran through the whole thing at the end of practice, and after, John simply leaned back, looked at the ceiling and simply said "...wow..."
