Today at school dismissal, I followed a suspicious pickup around for a bit, keeping an eye on them, trying to figure out if they were ICE. Then I realized they were keeping an eye on me also. Then I realized they were, in fact, other parents. Life in Minnesota, January 2026.
Heard any interesting/heartening thing from the courthouse today. Jurors. Usually people do their duty but they’re a bit crabby about it. Judges can sense it. Not since the ICE invasion. Fewer absentees, fewer excuses, more commitment, more focus. It’s like civics matters & they‘re defending it.

The local police are really concerned about ICE agents’ sleep hygiene I guess. “This is just like Call of Duty” sound bites aside, the aimless stumbling and drunken guy with a shotgun/launcher tells me morale is in the fucking toilet.
