1. Since the ceasefire has been imposed, Israel has continued to terrorize Gazans with US-made weapons.
2. Israel has established, over decades, a consistent pattern of violating human rights, which directly violates the Foreign Assistance Act, making U.S. arms transfers both illegal and immoral.
Accountability means stopping the flow of weapons that enable oppression. This bill can set a precedent to end U.S. complicity. Here’s why this bill still matters, even with the current ceasefire..
Now More Than Ever: Block the Bombs
Shoresh supports the Block the Bombs Act (H.R. 3565) as one way we can demand accountability. This bill would stop the U.S. from sending bombs, tank rounds, artillery shells, and other destructive weapons to Israel.
To help us think through these questions we have invited Raz Segal, who is also a Shoresh member, to present on the topic.
The event will be held on Zoom on Monday, Nov. 3 from 6:00-7:00pm Eastern/3:00-4:00pm Pacific. DM for details.
What is the best way to talk about the genocide in Gaza, especially as we seek to continue to apply pressure to the best of our ability from outside of Israel/Palestine?
As we take stock of recent events, it might be time to think about the role of Shoresh during what might be a changed situation on the ground. What does that mean for us as we seek to continue to push for justice in Palestine? Is the genocide over, is it ongoing, has it been ongoing for years?
What Now? A conversation with Raz Segal, November 3rd 6pm EST. מה עכשיו? שיחה עם רז סגל, 3 בנובמבר 18:00 שעון מזרח.
We will host an online discussion with Raz Segal, associate professor of Holocaust and genocide studies at Stockton University, about the genocide in Gaza.
Block the Bombs.
Hear from the campaign national organizers about what we can do as Shoresh members to support this important campaign, after two gruesome years of genocide. Mark your calendars, prepare your questions, encourage other Shoresh members to join, and we will see you on the 8th!
DM for RSVP and details
You might have some questions, like: What is the campaign trying to achieve? What does it mean that Shoresh has joined? What is my role in this?
On Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 8pm eastern time, we’ll hold a webinar for Shoresh members to address these and other questions.
This is a national campaign organized by a large coalition, working to get more support for HR3565, a congressional bill that would limit US arms sales to Israel. The bill has 47 sponsors, with new ones joining every week. This is unprecedented for a bill that focuses on Palestinian rights.
Shoresh is joining the Block the Bombs campaign! Join us for an info webinar with Josh Rubener - national campaign organizer. Hear what we can do as Shoresh members, and what our role as Israelis is in this campaign. Wednesday, October 8, 5pm PT / 8pm ET
Shoresh has officially joined the Block the Bombs campaign.
As NYPD stood by, Jewish supremacist mobs, supporters of Israeli minister Ben Gvir, attacked and injured pro-Palestinian activists, including a Shoresh member who suffered a head injury. These events represent a chilling mirror image of patterns we have seen in Palestine over the years, where on a daily basis Jewish supremacist mobs and militias act with impunity toward Palestinian civilians. There too Israeli military and police forces either tacitly or actively enable the violence.
Israel’s far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, a West Bank settler with a wide, violent past including convictions that include being a member of a terrorist organization and incitement to racism, visited Mar-A-Lago and met with high-ranking Republicans who openly stated their support for the bombing of food and aid depots in Gaza.
The US and Israel have long been aligned on colonialism and the genocide of indigenous people, and the similarities are deepening with these current administrations. They mirror each other’s governance structures and rhetoric, emboldening white supremacists in the US and Jewish supremacists in Palestine/Israel.
The genocide in Gaza and total disregard for human life and human rights is being enacted by both governments. Ben Gvir is dangerous, has built his political career on anti-Palestinian racism and land theft and is enabled by the Trump White House. As anti-Zionist Israelis living in the US, we stand against Jewish supremacy anywhere, and are united with the movement for a free Palestine, from NYC to Palestine.
We at Shoresh are outraged and disheartened by ICE's illegal arrest of Palestinian student and activist Mohsen Mahdawi. Mohsen has received media attention for his past work alongside Israelis, including some of our members. But that is not a determining factor in whether his case is worthy of our outrage.
We must remember that Mohsen's case is not unique. Thousands of people across the US are being illegally arrested, detained, and deported by ICE. We stand with all of them. The Trump administration is targeting Palestinian and other activists of color for deportation using anti-Palestinian racism, as well as the pretext of antisemitism, to serve its agenda.
We stand with Mohshen just like we stand with Mahmoud Khalil, Rümeysa Öztürk, and all other activists being targeted for speaking against genocide. We stand with all Palestinian people fighting for their liberation, both in Palestine and outside of it.
After being handcuffed and blindfolded, bleeding last night in a Military base with out any kind of treatment, Hamdan is free and now he is in Hebron hospital to receive medical treatment , Soon he will be back home to his children and family.
🚨🚨🚨Another pogrom in Masafer Yatta Tonight! Israeli settlers attacked homes & injured residents in Susiya. The attack took place under the protection of Israeli army and police. They kidnapped Hamdan Ballal, director film 'No Other Land', after he was injured during the attack
"Everything across the Gaza strip is a target right now"
Hind Khoudary reports that Israeli artillery has attacked an International Red Cross building in Rafah.
In a targeted attack on his car, Israel has killed Al-Jazeera's
Hossam Shabat, who was only 23 years old and was one of the last remaining journalists in Gaza.
There are no words.
Israel has just assassinated two Palestinian journalists. I learned about the assassination of Hossam Shabat from breaking news that interrupted the news of the assassination of Mohammad Mansour.
Hossam’s car was targeted by an Israeli missile.

BREAKING: Hundreds of U.S. Jews and friends are taking over the Trump Tower to say: Come for one, face us all.
BREAKING: Hundreds of Jews and allies have taken over Trump Tower chanting “We want justice, you say how. Bring Mahmoud home now!” and “Fight Nazis, not students.”
The civil disobedience is spawned by the ICE arrest of Palestinian student Mahmoud Khalil.
We will not allow this to become normal.
The Trump regime is trying to crush dissent beginning with those who speak out for Palestinian freedom. This is a threat to all who believe in justice. Tell Congress to protect students & demand Mahmoud’s release: bit.ly/freemahmoudnow

He’s threatened with deportation despite holding a green card - a significant escalation in the administration’s attempts to stifle criticism of Israel’s genocidal & colonial violence against Palestinians. We refuse to give in & remain committed to Palestinian liberation 2/2.
