For those who appreciate art but still don't get the reference, it is to a painting by René Magritte entitled "The Treachery of Images." He painted it to deliberately poke fun at people who take art too seriously.

I would say that we're gonna have to start writing "Ceci n'est pas une real-life person" on all of our furry porn for the current iteration of burned furs, but they have so little appreciation for art that they won't understand the reference.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if my trouble with the purples is more because of my monitor's color gamut than because of my own eyes

I found that I had no trouble with blues and greens, but the purples gave me a hard time

This is a fun little test to see how well your eyes can differentiate between colors. Apparently I'm quite good at doing that :3

Same story here - we didn't get enough snow for it to stick, but it was 85 degrees this time yesterday and now it's 35 degrees. It was snowing earlier too. Crazy.

Stuff like No Fear Shakespeare is awesome. I'm completely in favor of doing stuff like that to make classic literature more accessible to people. But you've got to preserve the key details and keep the essence of the story intact, and I frankly don't trust an AI to do that correctly.

Look, the truth is, even as a literature teacher, I am ALL FOR putting books into plain language for people with focus disorders who struggle to read stuff.

Whether it's a "hard book" or not isn't really the issue for me. I'm 100% in favor of making hard books easy. But this... will do it badly.
