They look good!
They look good!
It was a moment in history wasted. Biden could have been one of the greatest presidents, he could have moved us forward as a nation while fighting the pandemic with scientifically sound methods. It was all right there.
The problem with too many autism professionals:
"Epistemic injustice sounds abstract, but for many in the autistic community, this is the story of being told, over and over, 'We know you better than you know yourself.'β TY, @ludmilapraslovaphd.bsky.social:

Today I learned that people now use "storytelling" when mean "marketing" because no one likes marketing but they do like storytelling and as someone who professionally does storytelling that is not marketing I don't care for that at all.
What a ghastly horror!
Yes kinda. For this specific horror yes. The thing is it went on for a long time. Which means there most likely are many many many other such ongoing horrors still going on because clearly they can, and there are people willing to participate and keep their mouth shut.
I'll take one. Thanks for offering.
Graphic with navy and teal gradient background. Text reads: International Long Covid Awareness Day. March 15. Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal. Along the left side are two stacked photos from last yearβs events. The top photo is of a woman with long red-brown hair, and she is wearing an olive-coloured jacket and black shirt, as well as a black N95 mask and sunglasses. The bottom photo shows two women: the woman on the right is sitting in a wheelchair and is wearing a black parka and an N95 mask; the woman on the left is crochet beside the woman to her left and is wearing a blue ski jacket, a blue knit hat and a black N95 mask. A banner along the bottom of the graphic reads: Join us as we raise awareness & support the Long Covid community. Beside this is a teal and grey Long Covid ribbon.
On March 15th, we invite you to join us for International Long Covid Awareness Day at events in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal.

Yes. The irrational intrusive thoughts people have as regards trans people seems clear evidence of an internal struggle against even thinking about themselves, their gender and their sexuality. The existence of trans people threatens their ability to not think about such things.
Six more I think. But you will have a breather gap after the next three. It varies.
Graphic for March 8th International Womenβs Day. The Long Covid SOS logo appears at the top in awareness day colours. Beneath it, βMarch 8th International Womenβs Dayβ in teal and underneath in a lighter teal shade βWomen living with Long Covid and other invisible illnesses deserve to be heard, believed and supportedβ βNo more gaslightingβ in orange italics. At the bottom the image shows layered silhouettes of diverse women in profile, in different colours and hairstyles to represent solidarity and shared experience. A faint lifering motif from the Long Covid SOS logo forms the background. And at the bottom left text reads β#IWD2026β
Women are too often dismissed when it comes to their health told itβs βanxietyβ, βyour ageβ or βall tests are normalβ
#LongCovid is following a pattern many women already know. Women living with Long Covid deserve to be heard, believed and supported.

What a truly phenomenal work of art!
Putting in my word for universal world time. All clocks all over the world set to one time. Yes there would be an adjustment period, but there are a lot of advantages for coordinating activities and scheduling. Everyone on the same date and time.
Yes. My impression is what you suggest in the initial post, that people took advantage of any small mistakes to abuse them and shame them so they internalized this abuse. Myself took a long time to separate honest error from moral failing.
Yes, motivation matters. A well meant mistake is so so different than a malicious plan. A well executed malicious plan is way worse then a kindly meant effort. Baking a cake for someone and forgetting the sugar is not the same as willfully putting rat poison in.
I really do like a lot of current interesting covers, but seriously those old Sci Fi covers were fantastic, real art made by visionary artists. Bring that back for sure. No ai slop!
Nothing like the smell of time in the morning.
Yes, for goodness sake no links to X!
Yes. Basically please people there is almost nothing worth screen shoting from X to here. I think a lot of us came here to escape. If you want to post tweets from back in the Glory Days of Twitter, different story. Imo.
Yes, all intentional though. I read it as amazingly well written because there is a tremendous amount of information being conveyed about who these people are. The idea is that you find it confusing because it is not your world. The writer is putting you into the world of his characters.
There is a character called Pegg. We the reader are being shown something of how how Pegg thinks, speaks and writes. This tells us something about Pegg and the world this story is set it. It is carefully constructed for this purpose. We are being placed as readers in that world.
It means that Sam has rheumatism and that last winter it basically bothered him almost all the time.
Thanks for sharing this!
For a variety of reasons, transgender and queer have become associated, but they are not intrinsically so. Transgender men are men and transgender women are women. They can also be queer or not. And they can choose to embrace the community or not, just as cis people do. Many do for many reasons.
You are on to something here. It is related to the way trans women generally view themselves as women, plain and simple. Trans women are not anymore inherently queer than cis women. There are trans and cis women who are queer but being trans is not inherently queer.
Captain Painway! Nice!
That is rough for sure.
Broken bones can be super inconvenient.
There is a whole mini-series worth of story ready to go in this photo.
