I mean, in the light of the Epstein revelations, I'm surprised that last one isn't higher at this stage
When you have a 97% consensus against your preferred outcome, I don't think the answer is "consult harder" www.ft.com/content/e759...
Prompt injection truly is a whole new world of attack surfaces
perfect timing given a war with Iran!
The opening scene from the film "Threads". A city scape with steam rising in the morning light. The caption reads "Sheffield Saturday March 5th"

Thatβs precisely how advanced the AI is
You're absolutely rightβthat was not a command post, that was an elementary school. Those were not military leadersβthey were schoolchildren. I said the opposite, and that's on me.
Explains why so many school children are dead
an example: it's probably possible right now/soon, to create an AI tool that searches the web for people whose online presence betrays feelings of loneliness/latent mental health issues, finds them, then creates multiple virtual friends or even entire communities, & pushes them to violence
Like AI slop, prediction markets seem to me to be a symbol of moral decay. Even without the allegations of insider trading, few activities are grubbier or more cheapening than gambling on a war.
Mercado Centrale? Great spot!

What if we monetised the apocalypse
GOOD NEWS! A UNIVERSAL sarbecovirus vaccine candidate has OFFICIALLY started clinical trials. GBP511 is the FIRST vaccine to reach human testing that is intended to protect against MULTIPLE strains of SARS-CoV-2 as well as other related coronaviruses with the potential to spark dangerous outbreaks.
Buried lede: Meta sends all your nudes to Kenya where humans annotate it and feed it to AI
GAFF: Too bad she wonβt live! But then again, who does?
DECKARD: I double checked and youβre rightβshe wonβt live. I made a mistake, and thatβs on me. Nice catch!
Oh now I get it. Dubai is Golgafrinchan Ark B.
This bit in the From Russia With Love game made me laugh out loud. You've got a fairly grounded, low key fight based on the one in the movie, then the most video game looking fucker of all time slides into frame.
Darragh OβBrien drafts in state agencies to find solutions to traffic congestion in the capital Transport Minister βnot writing anything offβ in bid to ease problem in urban areas
Has he considered not shelving rail projects? Not cutting funding for expansion of public transport could be worth looking at too.
AI writes and deploys the majority of the code at Anthropic which sounds impressive but the service uptime is terrible.
Iβd love to see a post-mortem from them about the past few weeks of availability issues.
Indeed. Whatβs that about energy security again?

"[Dario Amodei Bane voice] βOh, you think stupid elaborate hypotheticals are your ally. But you merely adopted elaborate and weirdly specific hypothetical scenarios; I was born in them, molded by them"
right, that works really well. not just glaring into your eyes directly.... nice
as a matter of interest, what does it look like with that light on? I've been considering getting something to improve my VC setup along those lines
yes! same here, great setup
quite apart from the environmental risks of the proposed LNG reserve in the Shannon Estuary, I remain very unconvinced it is in Ireland's security interests to have a huge ship full of explosive material floating in the middle of our second largest port
Absolute nightmare fuel
My poor kids have had nightmares about this bird
