I mean, she isn’t Goth AF from what I can see, but…
That family resemblance is mind-blowing
“Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.” — Carl Sagan
Meanwhile, I'm over here all "Alexa, tell me why I should get up this morning and how to get over my existential dread. Also? Make a picture of my cat in a silly hat."
I concede your consistency in this arena, my good man.
The number of IT professionals who steadfastly refused to use IOT technology and smart speakers due to privacy and security concerns who are now eagerly using AI is...amusing.
I was introduced to Fantasy when a mentor of mine gave me a copy of the Hobbit when I was around 10. Tolkien will always hold a place in my heart, but if in terms of characters I can actually relate to you need to look at the Discworld novels from Terry Pratchett. These images capture exactly why.

Social media used to be a place I felt comfortable letting my hair down (as it were), but I have to mask here now as well.
I contend that masking is not at all exclusive to neurodiverse folks and actually find it a bit insulting when it is portrayed as though it is. Like you, I spend an inordinate about of time masking like a motherfucker and it is downright exhausting.
This, frankly, is the high quality content I am here for.
The quality of the demo instance process that is part of the ServiceNow training I am taking doesn’t instill much confidence in the actual user experience.

The number of pills I take every day. The way that my energy has tanked. The fact that I need to constantly be aware of the nearest bathroom. The physiological issues I am dealing with post-surgery. It all reminds me that the odds are my lifespan is significantly shorter than it used to be.
It is hard to describe, but I constantly feel like I am dying. I am not talking about the ever-present sense of mortality that comes with aging. Nor am I in any particular kind of pain. I have no new conditions that I am aware of…I just…

Ok, but…like…is Agile 2026 even happening?

Not to sound like an old bastard or anything, but I genuinely miss the days when it was easier to find good open source software on ye' old internet. I've found that many programs that used to be free require a subscription to use now.
The latest version of VLC Media Player is named "Vetinari" and I love that so much.
I have perpetual “what the fuck did I just watch” face during every commercial break. Even the Mandalorian one.
I am big…CAN be scary but I don’t try to be…I have three tattoos and I openly hate ice? Can I be on the second string team?
See? Now that is helpful.
Of all the game mechanics designed to keep us playing as much as possible, there is nothing quite so dopamine firing as the rare spawn/drop.
But that is my point. Movie bad because subject bad is not a valuable review.
And don’t get me wrong - based on reviews I have read from people who actually saw it the movie is shit, but those reviews are based in the subjective truth of the viewer, not a belief that the subject is shit. There are lots of really amazing documentaries made about truly awful people.
You are not convincing anyone who is inclined to see the film not to, and you’re adding one more log to the fire of the ever-growing inferno that is internet enshittification.
Hot take, I guess - I am not a fan of review bombing things I have not actually consumed in order to sabotage them. Obviously, the current target is the documentary about the First Lady. It is bullshit when it is done to movies for being “woke”, and it is bullshit in this scenario.
