Humanity is also in the message, in the desire to make something, to say something, and of course there is humanity in effort. I've come to appreciate imperfections in art because they speak to several things I enjoy or relate to. The urgency to make something, to say something, and being unable to take the time to polish. The aspiration to reach beyond your abilities, the desire to share your art regardless of its shortcomings. The subversion of what is expected from Good. Despite how one may personally feel, Good is cultural. Intentionally moving against what is accepted as Good communicates something and may even open new possibilities.
