I first reached 300 followers on SoundCloud on a separate account back in 2015 (yes I am ancient). Soon after I hit that milestone, I became really burnt out on music and abandoned the alias. About a year later, I began to love creating music again, and started fresh with an alias that would eventually serve as the early stages of what is now the Cosmilk project.

I’m not one to care much about minor milestones like this, but this one feels different. I’ve spent a good number of years between 2015 and now wondering if I’d ever “make it back” to where I once was and always felt like I’d been creating in the shadow of what I’d done before, plagued with impostor syndrome throughout it all. I’ve spent the last few years slowly mending a lot of the insecurities I’ve had when it comes to finishing music, creating music with and for others (such as with collabs and remixes), and my general approach to production. Reaching this milestone feels like the final tangible thing to show me that I’ve truly moved past where I once was, and that I can still make great music that resonates with others. I’d say this is the first year I’m going into where I feel that I’m no longer looking back, only looking forwards. To all those who’ve supported me, thank you all so much. I’m excited to show what I’ve been working on. 🩵
