The outrage over personal LLM energy usage seems overblown. Especially for the number of queries most of us run (<1000 / month?)
Picking any other climate soap box is a better use of outrage: driving cars, eating meat, green energy providers, etc.
In 2026 I want all of the decent people to remember one thing.
You aren’t meant to be this disciplined, this self-sacrificing to survive. The environment is supposed to support good living. We can have that. You are not a failure. That is politics.
That is all.

You *can* work from home as a remote worker, but you don’t have to. Remote work is all about picking the right work environment for you. Might be a coffee shop, a home office, a library, or a rented office!

So many of the technical blog posts I see have random stock photos or AI-generated images, and it sorta makes the whole blog feel generic and cheap.
You don’t need a cover image. My blog doesn’t use cover images.
I think the theft commited by AI companies in recent year is far greater crime than a college student reading a couple of books on their kindle
I agree, food and shelter shouldn’t only exist for those who can afford it!
I would advocate to use services that provide it first like a library or food bank, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.
