I do think McBride made some missteps after being elected, the criticism of her was justified. But she clearly heard the critiques and took them to heart.
That's not true. I was very cynical about McBride shortly after she took office, but she listened to early criticism from trans folks and adapted. She's spoken more openly about being trans and has worked diligently to strip anti-trans language from bills.
