March is #WomensHistoryMonth, a time to recognize and celebrate all that women have contributed to our society. It is also important that we continue fighting for women's opportunities, representation, equality, and freedom.
We are about two and a half months away from Primary Election Day. Your vote is your voice, and it is critical that you can cast one on Election Day. Make sure you are registered to vote and know if you are voting by mail or in-person. Visit vote.pa.gov for more information.
Today is Dominican Independence Day, a great time to celebrate and recognize Dominican culture and all the invaluable contributions Dominicans have made. It is also important that we stand with our Dominican neighbors during these trying times.

Thank you to Mayor Cherelle Parker for coming out to my district to see firsthand the impact of the City of Philadelphia’s snow removal efforts in Olney. It’s important that leadership shows up, listens to residents, and works together to keep our neighborhoods safe and accessible.
Please note that our office is closed today due to the inclement weather. Make sure to stay safe and take care of one another.
It was great to speak with Penn Capital-Star about my bill with @repandrecarroll.com requiring courts to account for the total time a child spends in secure detention when determining the duration of their sentence. Our bill passed the PA House with bipartisan support.
For too long, many Pennsylvanians have not been paid a living wage for their work. It's time to #RaiseTheWage for hard-working Pennsylvanians. You can make your voice heard by filling out a petition on my website to help us demand this important change: www.pahouse.com/Bellmon/Peti...
On Presidents Day, I co-hosted a shredding and e-cycling event with Rep. Sean Dougherty and Rep. Jared Solomon at Roosevelt Mall. We saw a tremendous turnout of neighbors who stopped by for us to help them safely and securely dispose of unwanted paper documents and electronic devices.
Ramadan Mubarak!
Happy Lunar New Year!
Rev. Jesse Jackson was a giant of a man- an icon of the Civil Rights Movement who dedicated his life to fighting racial injustice. I had the honor to meet Rev. Jackson at the State Capitol in 2024 and thank him for all he has done for Black Americans and our nation as a whole. May he rest in peace.
Don't forget to stop by our FREE Shredding and E-Cycling event this Monday at Roosevelt Mall. We look forward to helping you safely and securely get rid of unwanted paper documents and electronic devices.
It was great to hear the governor's 2026-27 #PaBudget proposal would invest in the people of Philadelphia. The 3 things I'm most excited about are the proposed investments in public education, public safety and the people of Pennsylvania, with a long overdue increase to the minimum wage.

Today, I was proud to join the House Liquor Control Committee for a hearing on my bill to address concerns surrounding stop-and-go establishments. As a member of the stop-and-go task force in 2024, my bill would establish the recommendations we made to remedy this issue affecting our communities.

Haitian Independence Day was January 1st, but its legacy of freedom and resilience continues every day. In 1804, Haiti became the first Black-led republic to win independence, a powerful reminder this Black History Month of courage and self-determination. #HaitianIndependence #BlackHistoryMonth
We can't allow for young people's time to be wasted in Pennsylvania's juvenile justice system. I'm proud that my bill with @repandrecarroll.com requiring courts to account for the total time a child spends in secure detention when determining the duration of their sentence has passed the PA House.
I’m excited and hopeful after listening to Gov. Shapiro’s 2026-27 PA budget address. He spoke about important investments in our children’s education, housing affordability, and lowering overall costs for our communities. I look forward to fighting for these priorities over the coming months.
No. This simple, two-letter word was powerfully uttered by Rosa Parks in 1955, when she refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a bus in Montgomery, AL. We must always resist oppression and do what's right, just as Rosa Parks did 70 years ago.
At 11 A.M. today, Governor Shapiro will lay out his budget proposal for the 2026-27 fiscal year. You can view it live by clicking below.
Happy Black History Month! At a time where there are those trying to erase Black history, let's take this time to celebrate, honor, and commemorate the Black community’s invaluable contributions to our nation. Let us continue to honor the past while forging a brighter future.

On this Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember and honor the six million Jewish people whose lives were taken during the Holocaust. We must never forget this atrocity, and during these very damning times, we must always remember to stand up to bigotry and oppression of any group of people.
Due to the weather, our office is closed today. Please continue to stay safe and take care of one another.
