I dunno. Seems like someone would find that narcissistic only if they can't relate to anyone else themself. Sometimes it's not the right time, because some people need "do you want validation or a solution?", but it's not for your lack of emotional connection.

Several years ago I ran a oneshot that hinged on a gas leak in a cargo spaceship causing mass hallucination. If everyone kept their visions to themselves, they would have had unique experiences. But they talked about it and had shared hallucinations instead. Doesn’t need to be fancy. CO does it!
I have a 15 person sealed league (inspired by the lrr ff league) starting Tuesday at my office that I’m excited about. Most sign ups since I started hosting them last year (foundations then eoe now lorwyn). We just need boxes, so no risk of contamination. Just friendly competition!
I particularly love working with neurodivergent writers and folks whose needs are best met by outside-of-the-box approaches!

This set of observations is produced by my scrolling Reddit and otherwise listening to people talk about "how to write."
A) there is no requirement that any of your characters has any sort of "arc" let alone a redemption.
B) there is also no requirement that your fiction has a plot.
A psychoanalyst determined I was a visual genius because I could do similar. Brains are just weird.
Working on my GOTY2025 script today, and I got 3 paragraphs written, which is pretty damn good going for me considering. This is probably going to end up an even bigger video than my last one, but I'm getting excited about it now.
