And tariffs are in the news, again. Last week the Supreme Court said that the president’s tariff regime was illegal. So, instead of backing off, he doubled down. We need a Congress that actually does its job and doesn’t roll over. That’s why I’m running.

The President has been talking recently about “nationalizing elections”. That’s unconstitutional to say the absolute least. And Brad Knott, our current rep. isn’t doing a thing to speak out against it. We need folks who will step up. That’s why I’m running.

The President likes to claim tariffs on foreign goods have been great for folks. But that’s not what tariffs actually are. They’re an unnecessary tax we all pay. Congress has had its power to levy tariffs stripped by the President and we need a Congress that is willing to stand up.

We’re too aware of the corruption rampant within this administration but sometimes it’s just so blatant that it’s past the point of ridiculous. We need a Congress that will call out corruption when they see it.

Yesterday, ICE agents in Minneapolis murdered Alex Pretti. Their second victim in just as many weeks. This is what happens when you drop un-vetted masked agents on the ground with no clear parameters. This is disgusting, shameful, and heartbreaking.

The actions in Venezuela over the weekend raises a lot of questions and rightfully so. But, the one that I have is, how does this help lower costs for folks? How does this make life more affordable? That’s my big question. We need to keep our eye on the ball.
