Totally agree. Right now I’m deep in classic/old watch looks. But I see your point about Japanese watches being more interesting right now. Zero disagreement. The Swiss are resting on their laurels and have been for some time.
I prefer the looks of a bunch of Swiss watch brands. Not because of whatever perceived status they impart but for their looks. I find the look of a Submariner or a Speedmaster to be second to none. And their clones are usually just as good and classic looking (while obviously in a different tier).
I gotta go give those albums a listen!
don’t fuckin talk to me if you couldn’t pick a crescent wrench out of a lineup, i am tired of the soft hands brigade running things

Do you ever think of music as having a season? Not like Christmas music, but like an album *feeling* like it is a fall album or a summer album.
I think about it all the time. All the time.

A picture of a small plastic bottle with a sticker that says “I lost my tooth at Disneyland“ and has a picture of chip… Or is it Dale?
my daughter lost a tooth at disneyland yesterday… and of COURSE they had something ready to keep it safe. 🥰
My wife is watching Instagram videos of the Superman press junket.
Me: Yeah the only thing is that I think they underutilized Wendell Pierce. He’s playing Perry White.
Her: I don’t know who that is.
Me: He’s the editor of The Daily Planet.
Her: Ohh, yeah. “Get me pictures of Spider-Man!”
Me: …
The only time a map got busted out anywhere was when we were going on road trips. My dad started quizzing me about streets and directions about the time I turned 12. And he made me navigate from Las Vegas to the San Diego Zoo when I was a sophomore in high school. 100% on me.
Post to the subreddit r/AskHistorians: What was navigation like for vehicle drivers in the United States before the internet and GPS? Before GPS devices and smartphones/cellular internet networks were a thing (Garmin company was founded 1989), millions of Americans were already getting around driving without the use of those inventions. How did they navigate? Did everyone need stacks of maps? Were drivers frequently lost? Did everyone have to understand the interstate system and use intuition to guide them? How burdensome was driving before GPS? Did drivers pay people to calculate an optimal route for them?

The most Pixar movie-ready thing happening in the @sfchronicle.com newsroom right now:
We just rescued an old 1990s Power Mac G3 from the e-waste pile & hooked it up because it’s the only thing in the newsroom that can read CD ROMs containing photos from that era.

Great looking timepiece! Is it quartz or automatic?
#Dodgers win!
They are now 4-0 on the season! Let’s go blue!
I’m watching #MufasaTheLionKing
I’m not impressed. The songs are blah and forgettable. The animation seems to be lower quality than #TheLionKing.
And these cut aways to Pumba and Timone are obnoxious and aggravating.
Bingo. Predictions like this are dumber than pig snot.
Here we go!
#Dodgers pulled off a win to start the season! Here’s to another 100 more!
As it drops is the only real way to do it. The conversations and suspense this season about Severance were great! Coworkers and I were speculating all season! Binge drops are just not fun.
Binge drops are wrong, it's just that Netflix doesn't care

I finally broke down and bought #NegativeLabPro. It is so great that I am now rescanning my entire back catalog of negatives and converting them. I am really mad at myself for not doing this sooner.
