Real consoles use caddies and can only read the last 20% of the data.

I like to think that time we were fucking around taking photos of random things shoved into the Saturn's expansion port has contributed to this inaccuracy.

Can't quite fathom why, but something tells me that so-called "AI" may have been used in the doctoring of this image of a SEGA Dreamcast.

Certainly an interesting choice of optical drive assembly.

Only issue might be that it may require resin due to the size and it being under some degree of stress.

The CD lid latch will be in one of two states:
1. Broken.
2. Not broken *yet*.

It's made of the type of plastic that yellows and becomes brittle. Consider treating if it shows signs of this.

I would note that learning is an ongoing (and often rewarding) process.

However, if learning or the time investment is not for you, there are plenty of user friendly distributions that are more than happy to just let you use the computer (and no shame in that).

Not sure if it is relevant, but I credit the AtGames portable "Streets of Rage" Mega Drive handheld as being so abysmally bad, it drove me to learn to repair my childhood Mega Drive. Snowballed from there.
