It's been over a year since the last update.

There's not much new content, but video ads have been removed. If you're curious why, I wrote more below 👇

Q: I've reached a very far distance (40km+) and the game no longer generates levels. Why is that? You've reached the community-named "void"! It is quite an accomplishment. The game engine has a math bug that appears at very high distances that prevents further generation. It is a very huge bug to fix because it affects many things. I didn't design the game to be played so far and also don't wish anyone's game to last that long. One day I plan to address this by making the game end far earlier than 40km.

This glitch has been around for a while, I'll share the response I previously posted in the Discord community:

TO FREE PLAYERS: The paywall will return. It’s the right thing to do for this game. Gem Earner price is adjusted by region to be fair and reasonable. It’s permanent and not a subscription. If you lack access to a payment method, please ask a parent or guardian. Chiki’s Chase still offers a lot in its free version, please enjoy it! I won’t paywall critical parts of the game loop. Free updates will continue even into the fourth year of Chiki’s Chase. I also plan to offer occasional price discounts and giveaways. If the news about ads going away still upsets you, please go play a different game!
