Dark Cloud!

It was the first game, or rather demo, that I tried on my own PS2, and it left me wanting more. It's undoubtedly a special video game; it was the first time I built a village to go to the dungeon, where the most interesting loot wasn't a mythical weapon, but a house and its furniture.

I don't remember WipeOut looking like this version that shows up in the 1995 movie, Hackers. That's because this is footage of a prototype that was worked on by Psygnosis. It looks a little more like games such as Hi-Octane, which didn't quite ascend to the same heights
