oh man, itβs always so spooky when specific tarot cards keep popping out for me across *multiple* decks
hmmm yeah, my apple card has been so buggy for online purchasesβ¦
A few years ago I started replacing every "we should" with "I should" and this really helps me to stay grounded.
listen, this isnβt a lie, but itβs really close.
when you google it, the top source is Siskindβs own Facebook page.
the actual audio is just a meaningless blanket statement from which no one should draw any conclusions.
no actual news source has covered the quote, including Fox.
On International Womenβs Day itβs great to remember that Grunya Sukhareva identified Autism before Kenner (100 years ago), identified that Autism presented regardless of sex, and that it is a spectrum.
Examples from Wikipedia:
Fanart of T'Lyn from Star Trek: Lower Decks. Left: T'Lyn on a Vulcan ship, with her Vulcan grey and white crew uniform. She is standing with her left arm behind her back and doing a Vulcan salute with her right hand. Top Right: T'Lyn rearranging the pieces on a 3D chess board and looking sideways conspiratorially. She is in the Cerritos' nar and in her Starfleet uniform. Bottom Right: T'Lyn wielding a Larpa while on Orion, wearing her yellow Orion outfit, looking hella angry.
Happy International Women's Day from my fav out of control Vulcan. π

This reminds me of something Toni Morrison wrote.
a screenshot of the music video Planet of the Bass, it has a man in a white outfit and angel wings, a woman in a robe and a crown, the caption reads "Women are my favorite guy"
happy international women's day to all my international women

RIP Darwin you would have loved the finches at my feeder. The most vividly red one is the one who was there first and is there most often now!
I thought he was saying that they arenβt making the movies *as* therapy. which is also silly, because yes they can be for entertainment, but they are art, and art makes you feel thingsβ¦
oh. also missed *another* evening med dose last night ππ
βBe kind, be involved, believe in your art,β he said. βAt a time when people tell you art is not important, that is always the prelude to fascism. When they tell you it doesnβt matter, when they tell you a fucking app can do art you say, if itβs that important, why the fuck do they want it so bad? The answer is because they think they can debase everything that makes us a little better, a little more human. And that, in my book, and in my life, includes monsters.β
Love this from Guillermo del Toro
me reading this, having just ordered an art print of a stag in the woods: π
It was really fun! I donβt think itβs their strongest artistically or emotionally, but I went into it not sold on it at all and it ended up delighting
well well, if it isnβt the consequences (PEM) of my actions (pushing past my energy envelope all week)

If you're doomscrolling, guess what? So far there are 51 kΔkΔpΕ chicks hatched and thriving this season, the same number of birds as we had in TOTAL in the 90s! Only one chick has died and there are still fertile eggs waiting to hatch!
a few nights ago, I dreamt I was introducing myselfβgetting registered at some kind of event where l'd be needing a nametag. the coordinator (warm, assuring) asked for my pronouns, and I waffled a bit before admitting thatβwhile I'm generally known as a her, out of practicality mostlyβthat I'd *like* being referred to as a them sometimes. the volunteer smiled, nodded, and handed me a completed badge declaring me they/them. and in that deep subconscious instant, and even now just remembering it, I've got this indescribable sense of relief and calm and elation and bliss. I kinda think I was visited by some kind of dream-angel.
guess I really just needed permission from some combination of myself + the ether
(also the person in the dream did resemble a certain fictional angel from the fandom du jour π
)
not sure it was *the* moment, but definitely one of the main ones: I got new pronouns handed to me in a dream. and the euphoria didnβt go away when I woke up βΊοΈ
A brown penguin chick of some kind. It looks very much like a man in a suit. It is bedraggled and miserable
Made it to Friday but at what cost
I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
Just had a person change their mind. So I now have 5 spots open for my April queue.
Please share far and wide to help me pay my bills. Thank you so much!
