Great write up by @dechant.bsky.social in @techcrunch.com
Been amazing to witness @skannerdarkly.bsky.social and team at Aikido navigate the last year. Result is equal parts innovation, inspiration, determination, and just maybe excellent timing for a world that is growing more geopolitically hostile, while requiring more and more energy…
We invested in Aikido because they’re moving the compute to the coast. 🌊
By combining a 15MW turbine with a modular data center, we solve the two biggest bottlenecks in AI: Energy and Cooling.
No more fighting for city grid space. Just sovereign, sustainable power at sea.
Call US Senators and tell them to vote against the SAVE Act. It has already passed the US House. In its current form, it means that 100 years after women earned the right to vote, we are facing down the implementation of a 21st century poll tax for women.

A line graph showing atmospheric CO2 levels at Mauna Loa Observatory from 1955 to 2025. The y-axis represents CO2 mole fraction in parts per million (ppm), ranging from 320 to 420 ppm, while the x-axis is years.
The most iconic figure in the environmental sciences is the Keeling Curve, the CO₂ record from Mauna Loa, Hawaii.
@noaa.gov had a wonderful site where you could visualize and download these data, and now it's just gone. These data belong to us and we should not let this happen!

Annual must-read.
Grateful for your service to our country!
Of course, our inboxes are always open to meeting more founders working at the center or at the edges of our ocean-climate thesis. Hit us up!
We already work with some amazing founders -- many are scientists or engineers who left academia to start companies that will help stave off the worst effects of climate change. You can see some of them here: propellervc.com/portfolio
