After 26 years Dragon Quest 7 is back and looking great!
If you’ve been looking for an excuse to come back to Mario Sunshine, this might just be it!
Incredibly fun randomiser that really changes how you play the game.
The latest recompilation project is live, and it's Banjo-Kazooie! Setup is as simple as pointing it to your ROM, and from my brief play session I've certainly got no complaints.
Four years in the making, an unofficial sequel to Mystic Quest is coming this year!
Always a shame to see. With some luck we'll at least see a port of the original release before long so more people can at least give it a go.
Yesterday, deathkill781 on the @gbatemp.net forums has finished Chapter 6, the first half of the Buu saga for the Japan-only DS game Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden.

Harbour Masters are back with a new PC port! We've had a PC port for Mario 64 for a while now, but ease of install is probably the big thing here. Excited as always for the randomiser to come too!
A nice little showcase all in all! The new game being on GeForce Now and a few of the previous titles coming to Switch 2 were probably the highlights for me.
Perhaps a bit more exciting to the general public, Quest 64's recompilation is now available! Still early days but you can check out the GitHub repo for yourself.
An interesting one two of news here... I don't know who is waiting for a Zelda's Adventure remaster, but hey there must be somebody out there!
It’s for PC as far as I know! I don’t believe many other platforms are supported by Godot out of the box.
A fantastic piece on the efforts to salvage a cheap but deeply flawed flashcard.
If you have a GBA SuperCard lying around in a drawer, it might just be time to dig it out!
The latest Dreamcast port is here, and boy is it a good one! I'd have believed it was just the N64 version being played looking at the video.
Earthbound is one of those games that really still holds up. Having said that, this project looks stellar. I’ll definitely be playing when it releases.
Oh I do love me a bit of stealth.
Reminds me I still need to get back to Metal Gear Solid V at some point, I guess that’s as good a New Year’s resolution as any!
(The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily is a banger that should be played by more people, pls give it a chance)
Before jumping into our reviews and general 2026 coverage, we wanted to take a moment to talk about a few of the games and bits of tech we might have missed (or just had more to say about!).
Well this is something neat. From what I've read online it's still not enough to crack the console wide open, but it's still neat.
More support for dual-screened Android handhelds!
Maybe I'll be able to use this when AYANEO deliver my Pocket DS in a year or two 🙃
We've also got a new way to play Pokemon White 2 with a pretty feature-packed hack. Couldn't be a better time for DS hacks to be on the rise with all these new fancy handhelds.
After a bit of a festive break, it's time to brush off the cobwebs and start posting again!
Only two days into 2026 and we've already got some great hacks out! With some luck we'll see these mask transformations worked into the OoTMM combo randomizer before the end of the year.
False alarm I guess! Well there's still five and a half hours in that window, so if the site goes down for a bit you know why.
We have some server maintenance today that should last for around two hours. All I know is that it could have started between 11am and 10pm today, and given the site is down, I'm going to guess it's begun.
I'll see you all in two hours!
Colourisation hacks are always cool to see, but the trailer for the release of this one is just S tier work.
Contests like this feel so rare nowadays. Fingers crossed the winner gets a decent goodybag for their efforts.
I hope this does well so they can justify making a second version that fixes all the issues this has.
It's like they saw the Xperia Play and only thought to make it thinner. Definitely a good start, but c'mon at least give us 3DS sliders.
I'll never understand why Nintendo announces these games the way they do.
Either way, I think this is a solid one?
