Getting on the react native train the last couple of weeks. Started with a Laravel / Vue app.
Really cool getting everything working natively.
2024 in review - big year. Purchased a house,
got married,
lost my job,
became a father
and final 2 in the recruitment process but got piped at the fence 2 days before Christmas.
I'm puffed.

Keeping the motivation while job hunting is challenging, especially towards the end of the year.
I've been working on a few products to keep my fingers coding.
I'm eager to release them into the wild, so the last few steps feel like they take foooorrrreeeevvveeer

I survived. Baby Jack fell asleep after the first corner. Not winning any records at 40 min but it was a bunch of fun. I need to work on my 'run with pram' technique
Running race today. First one in a very long time and first one with a pram. Kickstart the fitness plan with a 5 km run.
I put it up on Netlify, just a basic upload to test it out for now. I will set up actions after.
I didn't know that. Very interesting. I may have a play with that next. It would be handy for content managment
I worked with all that energy after Laracon to try something new. I jumped into #Statamic for a look. Reworked my portfolio website and used the static site generator to make the flat files. So much fun. I highly recommend to anyone in CMS land to have a look at #Statamic

I was playing around with it this week for my portfolio site. Having worked with WP in the past I can see the value in Statamic. To be able to just build out the content then use SSG was a lot of fun
Inertia and Vue is usually my go to as well but if you do go React then React native is only one step away as well.
