I think we’ve all known the hive isn’t great, but most of us assumed “they are still human, it’s just collective humanity”. After the conversion of the Peruvian girl, it’s clear that once you join the hive you are gone. All culture, all things that makes us human are essentially wiped.

The big problem with the term indie is not that it means financially independent, it used to mean games made by people who are against the ‘factorization’ of the industry.
When indie as a term appeared, the video game industry was beginning its multi-year ballooning. The term is antithetical.
What does indie game mean?
Indie used to mean independently funded, but does it still mean this today? Games published by devolver are considered indie but they fundamentally go against the term. Clair Obscure is technically indie, but it’s budget is bigger then some industry games.

The Godot AI sponsorship ‘controversy’ is still going on and still quite annoying. I’m not annoyed by the criticisms though, I’m annoyed that nearly everyone being vocal has never interacted with the engine or community.

YaST is super easy and convenient, making updating a breeze. And since it’s a rolling release that actually cares about its packages, I haven’t gotten any headaches when updating. Peak distro if you ask me.
